For this image, I edited it by using certain tools within Photoshop.

Firstly, I used the quick selection tool to remove the background from the subject image so I could add the brown square in the back instead of having a plain white background. I used the rectangle tool to make this square and I decided to use this brown colour because it makes the overall edit look more like a magazine cover and it looks similar to the cover of Kylie Jenner, which was my goal.

Also, I used the 'T' tool to add the text onto the edit and decreased the saturation of the subject's image slightly to make the image look as though it was taken using natural lighting (the covers for my chosen publication were taken using natural lighting).

For this image, I edited it by using certain tools within Photoshop.

Firstly, I found a royalty-free image from Google to use as the background and made this as a layer. I used a royalty-free image to respect the copyright rules and I used this background in particular because after researching into the magazine's website, I noticed that some of their images have been displayed with a colourful background, which was good to include because it means that my edit will fit nicely with the website.

Also, before placing the palette image onto the background, I cropped it to make it an extreme close up of the palettes. Afterwards, I got the palette image and scaled it to make it fit nicely above the square. Finally, I decreased the opacity of the image of the subject slightly to have it blend in with the background image to ensure it is subtle and doesn't stand out too much.

For this image, I edited it by using certain tools within Photoshop.

Firstly, I created this ombre background by using the gradient tool. I created this background because after looking into the website, I saw an edit which used an ombre background and had their edit similar to this one. Also, I was already aware of how to create this background so I figured I will try to edit using my own background. Overall, I am happy with this edit because I can picture it being a part of the magazine nicely.

Afterwards, I used the Ellipse tool to create a circle and made this circle white. I scaled it and placed in the centre of the background. Finally, I used the quick selection tool to remove the unwanted background from the foundation image and placed this into the circle.
