1) This image is a mid-shot of the subject looking down and showing the overall makeup look.
In terms of lighting, I used artificial lighting by using the flash on the camera. I did this due to there being a limited amount of natural light in the room, since the sun went down earlier than expected. The use of artificial lighting worked well, because it ensured the subjects features stand out/instantly catch the audiences attention.
I used central composition for this image, to ensure the viewer is focused on the subject and I had the subject in front of a plain background to also add this focus on the subject. Also, in terms of exposure and focus, I had these as manual so I can have as much control over it as possible.
Also, I took this image by holding the camera in my hands and having my sister standing up against the wall. I held the camera instead of having it on a tripod because personally I feel as though my hands are steady enough to take images due to experience in the past with cameras.
Overall, taking the images hand held worked well, because all the images were focused and turned out exactly how I wanted.
2) This image is an extreme close up of the subjects left eye.
In terms of lighting, I used artificial lighting by using the flash on the camera. I did this due to there being a limited amount of natural light in the room, since the sun went down earlier than expected.
Also, if you look closely, you can notice that this extreme close up created a hint of depth of field in the area where the subjects ear is. This hint of depth of field is good because it allows the audience to ensure they are focused on the subject/not get distracted with anything in the background but instead focus on the eye look.
When taking this image, the subject was in the centre of the frame, however due to taking only one picture of the eye look, this lead to the subjects face being located on the right hand side, which can be seen as using rule of thirds with this image.
Also, in terms of exposure and focus, I had these as manual so I can have as much control over it as possible.

3) This image is a close up of the subjects face to show the overall makeup look.
In terms of lighting, I used artificial lighting by using the flash on the camera. I did this due to there being a limited amount of natural light in the room, since the sun went down earlier than expected.
When looking at this image, you can see that I have not taken the image straight on, but instead positioned myself to the right slightly and taken the image at an angle. The reason why I did this, is because when looking into the glamour magazine website, I noticed that not all subject images are straight on but instead taken at a variety of angles.
Due to this, I decided I wanted to experiment by doing this to see the overall outcome. Overall, I am really impressed with the outcome and I am happy that I took the opportunity to do so.
Also, in terms of exposure and focus, I had these as manual so I can have as much control over it as possible.

4) This image is an extreme close up of the subjects lips.
In terms of lighting, I used artificial lighting by using the flash on the camera. I did this due to there being a limited amount of natural light in the room, since the sun went down earlier than expected.
Also, when looking closely, you can see that the extreme close up has created a hint of depth of field on the subjects hair, which is good because it allows the viewers to ensure they are focused on this particular feature of the subject/not get distracted with anything in the background.
When taking this image, the subject was located in the centre of the frame, however due to me wanting to experiment with angles, this image has been taken with the rule of thirds technique. Overall, I like how I did this, because it draws the audiences eyes towards the lips, which I think is nice because it isn't slamming the feature into the audiences face, but instead leading them towards it so they can focus on it eventually instead of suddenly.
Also, in terms of exposure and focus, I had these as manual so I can have as much control over it as possible.

5) This image is a mid shot of multiple makeup palettes.
In terms of lighting, I used artificial lighting by using the flash on the camera. I did this due to there being a limited amount of natural light in the room, since the sun went down earlier than expected.
When taking this image, I had the palettes placed on the floor and pushed them all close together to have no gaps between/to ensure no floor is shown in the photo.
Overall, I really like the outcome of this image, because when looking through the website, I noticed there was a certain image which looks quite similar to this one. This is good, because it ensures that this image will fit into the website nicely.
Also, in terms of exposure and focus, I had these as manual so I can have as much control over it as possible.
Also, I took this image by holding the camera in my hands and from a birds eye view. I held the camera instead of having it on a tripod because personally I feel as though my hands are steady enough to take images due to experience in the past with cameras.
Overall, taking the images hand held worked well, because all the images were focused and turned out exactly how I wanted.

In terms of lighting, I used artificial lighting by using the flash on the camera. I did this due to there being a limited amount of natural light in the room, since the sun went down earlier than expected.
The composition used for this image is central composition, and I used a plain background to ensure the viewers are instantly focused on the product/not distracted with anything in the background.
Also, in terms of exposure and focus, I had these as manual so I can have as much control over it as possible.
Also, I took this image by holding the camera in my hands and being straight on. I held the camera instead of having it on a tripod because personally I feel as though my hands are steady enough to take images due to experience in the past with cameras.
Overall, taking the images hand held worked well, because all the images were focused and turned out exactly how I wanted. However, with this image, even though it is a nice image, personally I feel that there isn't enough light on the product so due to this, I wont be editing this image.
In terms of lighting, I used artificial lighting by using the flash on the camera. I did this due to there being a limited amount of natural light in the room, since the sun went down earlier than expected.
The composition used for this image is central composition, however when looking at this image, you can see that the product is at an angle slightly. However, this wont be a problem, because when editing, I will remove all the background and I can use a rotating feature on photoshop to straighten it. Also, I used a plain background to ensure the viewers are instantly focused on the product/not distracted with anything in the background.
Also, in terms of exposure and focus, I had these as manual so I can have as much control over it as possible.

Overall, taking the images hand held worked well, because all the images were focused and turned out exactly how I wanted. However with this image, I will not be using it due to the scratches on the product standing out/due to the amount of light on the image being less than I wanted.
9) This image is a mid shot of a few brushes used to create the makeup look.
